Celebrate Your Wins, Identify Growth Areas, and Start Building Your Best Year Yet

As we approach the end of December, I've taken time to reflect on this year—the good, the bad, and yes, even the super ugly. Yet, as I sit here today, what truly stands out is what I have accomplished. I must admit, while I didn’t scratch off as many tasks or goals as I originally planned, I did make progress—and that progress deserves to be celebrated!

Reflection is powerful. It allows us to honor our wins, big or small, and identify areas where we can grow. Over the past few weeks, I've been sitting down a few nights a week, getting real with myself about what worked, what didn’t, and how I want to approach the new year. As someone running multiple businesses, I’ve realized that wasting time on things that aren’t working is no longer an option. It's time to double down on strategies that serve my vision and scale back on what doesn't.

If you haven’t already, I encourage you to start preparing for your year of success right now. Don’t wait until January 1st to get in motion. The work starts today! Here are five actionable tips to help you celebrate your progress and identify growth areas as you set yourself up for success in the new year.

1. Reflect on This Year’s Wins and Lessons

Take some quiet time to review your year. Write down what you accomplished, no matter how small, and reflect on what you learned from the challenges you faced. Celebrate yourself for showing up, even when it wasn’t easy. This process will help you understand what fuels your success and what hinders it.

2. Reassess Your Priorities

Running multiple businesses (or managing a household while pursuing your dreams) means your energy is limited. Identify the areas where your efforts are yielding results and the ones that drain you without much payoff. Commit to scaling back what isn’t working to free up energy for what does.

3. Set SMART Goals for the New Year

Create goals that are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound. For example, instead of saying, “I want to grow my business,” try, “I want to increase my revenue by 20% by launching a new service by March 1st.” The clearer your goals, the easier it is to create actionable steps to achieve them.

4. Build a System That Works for You

It’s not just about setting goals—it’s about building systems to achieve them. Whether it’s a weekly planner, digital tools, or delegating tasks, find what helps you stay consistent. Consistency is key to turning your goals into reality.

5. Start Taking Action Today

You don’t need to have everything perfectly figured out to begin. Start where you are with what you have. Whether it’s brainstorming ideas, sending an email, or making a call, small actions taken consistently can lead to big changes. Remember, progress happens step by step.

As mothers and entrepreneurs, our plates are often full, but that doesn’t mean we can’t carve out space for intentional growth and success. This year has shown me the importance of celebrating the progress we’ve made and preparing for what’s next with clarity and purpose.
